Pastors and Leaders

Pastors and Leaders

We need to pray for our Pastors/leaders. Behind every Pastor/leader there is someone who is willing to sacrifice for them. This is true of the hero's in the bible. It is just as true for today that pastors need people who are willing to intercede  for them in a powerful, consistent  prayer life. Intercessor is someone who bears the other one's burdens. When Moses hands were tired, Aaron and Hur interceded by holding up Moses hands and the battle was won. Ex.17: 8 -13
Likewise, we can hold up our Pastor and leaders through Prayer and see God win the battles in our church and City. In Galatians 6: 2 Bear one another burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. When we pray for our Pastors We are helping bear the burdens of the ministry. We are showing love for our Pastor, and obeying the greatest commandment. The law of love. We need to have an intercessory prayer focus on their needs. Pray for our Pastor that we will be submitting ourselves to our pastor in a true biblical sense.

Kicking against the pricks

Kicking against the pricks

In medieval times, when nearly everybody worked the land, the prick was a common tool for getting oxen to go faster. It was a pointed stick. If the oxen kicked the prick in annoyance it only made it go in deeper and hurt more. So to kick against the pricks is to rebel against authority but end up making life more difficult in the process. The phrase is also in the King James Version of the Bible. When Jesus blinded Saul of Tarsus (future Apostle Paul) he said "Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutes: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks." (Acts 9:5) We can not kick against God We got to meet our destiny. If we do not surrender all to our heavenly father our lives will be painful  and difficult..  He created each and every one of us, so we  all have a purpose. It is what we do with it that counts. I want to surrender my all.
